Hannah Carpenter, administrative assistant to the chair of MIT Music and Theater Arts and Jillian Scales, ensemble and event manager in the Concerts Office, received 'Unsung Hero Awards' today at the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences Infinite Award ceremony.

The Unsung Hero is someone who often works behind the scenes, without fuss or public recognition, to carry out work essential for the smooth functioning of his/her unit or the School. This individual should be someone who takes initiative without being prompted, is reliable, persevering, and results-oriented, and is someone who provides whatever is missing for excellence on a constant basis.

Ken Urban Wins 2024 Blue Ink Award

As part of the award, Urban receives a $3,000 cash prize, a staged reading directed by Artistic Affiliate Dexter Bullard at American Blues Theater, and the opportunity to further develop his script with our artists.
