Teatro Lirico di Cagliari ended its 2019 season with Hänsel und Gretel, which ran from Dec 13-22, 2019. The award winning design was created at Teatro Alla Scala, in 2017, and the design of the opera won the XXXVII "Franco Abbiati" Music Critics Award for scenes, costumes, lights and videos: "for the courageous account of the social poverty of the present through the fable of Hänsel und Gretel, ennobled in the perfect balance of realism and poetry, in a magical show of rare technical perfection". Ken Urban Wins 2024 Blue Ink Award
