MIT Video Productions wins 3rd Emmy!

The video was produced by Lawrence Gallagher and directed/edited by Jean Dunoyer at MIT Video Productions (MVP). The MIT Visiting Artists Program sponsored Jacob Collier to spend a short time with MIT musicians, composers, and technicians. The documentary portrays just how transcendent the experience was.
 

It's all about music education experiences.
Music Director Frederick Harris Jr. led the efforts to bring Collier through MIT's Visiting Artist Program, not only to MIT but to Berklee College of Music, New England Conservatory, Boston Arts Academy, and the University of New Hampshire. Harris' own MIT Festival Jazz Ensemble played in the culminating concert.

About Jacob Collier

Jacob Collier is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, arranger, composer and producer, based in London, England. He is mostly self-taught, has been creating music for all of his 23 years. In 2016, Jacob released his debut album, "In My Room", which was entirely self-recorded, arranged, performed and produced in his home. From winning two Grammy awards to playing 150 shows in 26 countries on his One-Man-Show World Tour; to collaborations with Hans Zimmer, Herbie Hancock, Pharrell, Tori Kelly, Snarky Puppy, Metropole Orkest; to speaking at the TED Conference 2017; to teaching masterclasses and confounding music theorists around the globe. Imagination Off the Charts

The concert was held in Kresge Auditorium and was performed by over 200 musicians including Jacob Collier. The performance became even larger at moments with Collier engaged the audience into the performance and directed everyone in harmony.
