MIT Symphony Concerto Competition Winners

The MIT Symphony Orchestra director Adam Boyles announced that he had awarded appearances with the MIT Symphony Orchestra to three students who auditioned for the 2016 MIT Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition.

Pianist Sylvain Carpentier (G) will perform Chopin's Andante spianato e grande polonaise brillante on Saturday, March 12 at 8pm in Kresge Auditorium along with violinist Stacie Lin who will perform Ravel's Tzigane. Pianist Daniel Parker '16 will perform the first movement of the Brahms second piano concerto on Saturday, April 30th at 8pm in Kresge Auditorium.  Honorable Mentions went to pianists Connie Wu (G) and Julia Cha.
