The Bald Soprano by Eugene Ionesco

Lecturer in Theatre Arts David R.Gammons will travel to Orlando, Florida to present his production of Eugene Ionesco’s THE BALD SOPRANO in the Orlando Fringe Festival, January 10-13, 2019. Gammons directed this newly-devised version of the seminal classic of French Absurdism with the company Anti-Play, in association with the Contemporary Theatre Program of the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. The production re-imagines Ionesco’s hilarious social satire with a uniquely American sensibility, drawing on performative traditions including Commedia dell’ Arte and Drag Persona.
